Job Description

*Requiring Peds experience*

*this position will support the Children's Hospital*

Job Summary:
Evaluates, plans, directs, and administers speech therapy programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their maximum level of independence. Provides assessment of patient condition based on diagnosis from the referring physician. Develops and updates an appropriate plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family to assist in returning them to their maximum level of function. Evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages, from infants to the elderly.

Education - Required:

  • Master's Degree Speech Language Pathology



Education - Preferred:
  • Doctorate Speech Language Pathology



Experience - Required:


Experience - Preferred:
  • 1 year



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
  • Ability to identify patient specific speech rehabilitation learning needs.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of work flow.



Licensure - Required:
  • Drivers License Required for homecare/hospice/home based OP positions Upon Hire
  • Speech Language Pathologist Upon Hire and



Certifications - Required:
  • Health Services\BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire



Licensure - Preferred:
  • Certification of Clinical Competence within 1 Year



Additional Qualifications:
  • Must have current auto insurance at PA state minimum required levels (specific to Homecare/Hospice/Home based Outpatient Positions).

Schedule: Full Time 40 hours, Day Shift, M-F; 0800a-1630p
