Job summary:

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Spanaway, WA. As an SLPA, you will be responsible for supporting the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech therapy services to patients with communication disorders.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Document patient progress and collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist to adjust treatment plans as needed
• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with speech and language disorders
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on communication strategies and therapy goals
• Participate in team meetings and communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care
• Implement treatment plans and interventions under the guidance of the Speech Language Pathologist

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Completion of an SLPA program and/or state licensure/certification
• Knowledge of speech and language disorders and treatment approaches
