Specialist, Fashion Retail Operations, Technology & Innovation:


CHANEL is looking for a Retail Technology & Innovation Specialist to join our Retail Operations team in New York. You will play a leading role in implementing ‘best in class’ technology solutions that meet the needs of our boutique teams and our business. With an in-depth knowledge of the CHANEL US retail business, you will drive the evolution of digital boutique applications to provide a seamless experience for both our front of house, as well as heart of house as they strive to deliver exceptional client experiences.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Creating and delivering presentations to educate our partners and boutique teams to drive engagement and adoption
  • In addition to being tech savvy you must have a passion for delivering exceptional retail experiences; infusing new ideas into the organization and being willing to support field pilot testing that shall contribute to evolving the overall boutique experience.
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and implementing near term improvements while also supporting the development and delivery for long term strategic goals
  • Visiting and engaging with the boutique and technology teams working closely to solicit constructive feedback on our portfolio of boutique applications


Strategy & Operations:


  • Drive boutique trainings and ongoing adoption/coaching
  • Lead the ongoing education/demo sessions for home office partners, retail leadership teams, and the operations regionals on new solutions and address any concerns/feedback
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Tech and cross functional business teams
  • Project management from planning to launch. This includes providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and successes
  • Address feedback and keep ensuring proper adoption post launch by partnering with relevant teams
  • Support the evolution of our boutique apps through strong program management skills and consistent communication
  • Support the Senior Manager, Retail Technology & Innovation in the delivery of new large scale boutique technology initiatives.
  • Own and maintain the roadmap for new features and ensure timely delivery
  • Own the release communication to boutique and business teams
  • Define and deliver the training plans for our boutiques
  • Define the launch strategy across boutiques
  • Conduct market visits to lead feedback sessions with the boutiques
  • Participate in projects lead by other home office teams and own the Operations workstream when needed
  • Serve as the day-to-day support for boutiques when questions/issues arise
  • Own the launch of new boutique technology initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with boutique teams via regular planned visits as well as ongoing communications

Position Requirements:


  • Up to 30% travel to domestic boutiques locations
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years in Retail with experience in project and program management
  • Superior communicator - both written and verbally
  • Position is NY based
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task projects in a dynamic, fast paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficient in PowerPoint
  • Relationship focused and strong ability to build collaborative partnerships
  • Experience building engaging training guides and videos


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,700 through $92,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
