Rohr, Inc. d/b/a Collins Aerospace is looking for a Specialist, Quality Assurance in Chula Vista, California.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Use experience and knowledge to influence processes, standards, and plans to continuously improve quality.
• Review quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes.
• May manage Quality Assurance processes and / or projects.
• Work as an individual contributor to achieve objectives that have a significant impact on area of responsibility.
• Develop and implement program quality plans and procedures.
• Conduct collection and analysis of quality information from multiple sources for the development of quality strategy and programs.
• Ensure that the quality of suppliers, products and processes are compliant with internal and regulatory standards and are continuously improving.
• Provide production process analysis, ensuring quality standards are met and making recommendations for quality improvements.
• Implement projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving.
• Analyze and make recommendations for Quality Assurance plans, guidelines, policies, and processes to ensure the achievement of Quality targets.

Required Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience with project management.
• At least 2 years of experience with lean manufacturing tools.
• At least 2 years of experience with general manufacturing processes.
• A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering position. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing engineering position.
