Are you looking for a position where you can utilize your customer service skills while helping others in your community with limited English proficiency? CoVantage Credit Union is seeking two full-time on-site Spanish Interpreter/Virtual Specialists to join our team! These individuals will join a team dedicated to providing bilingual members with exceptional service and outstanding value in-person, over the phone, and through CoVantage's online channels.
This position is eligible for $2.25 in shift differentials paid per hour in addition to base compensation to help serve the Limited English Proficient population in the communities we serve. As a CoVantage team member, you'll also receive a 401k employer match of up to 200%, a bonus of annual salary up to 4%, a generous employer HSA contribution, and paid time off for community service.
Job Duties:
- Provides translation and interpreter assistance as needed between credit union employees and bilingual members
- Accurately and consistently comply with credit union standards, policies, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Promote services to strengthen each member's relationship with the credit union and seek ways to provide greater financial value
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely, professional, and courteous manner handling each member's request in its entirety, or if needed, directing the member to the appropriate person for assistance
- Provide existing and potential members with professional, high-quality member service specializing in deposit services, consumer loans, and virtual services such as CoVantage Online and Remote Deposit Capture
This individual will work a rotating schedule including multiple Saturdays per month.
Qualifications:
- Have the ability to be organized, efficient, and accurate in a fast-paced work environment
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills in both the English and Spanish language and the ability to work with a wide variety of people on a daily basis
- Must pass credit union fluency testing and maintain working knowledge of English and secondary language
- Minimum of 1 years' experience as an interpreter is preferred, but not required
- Have experience working in a service or sales related capacity
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows software programs
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish required
- Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent
