Position Summary:
This position is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies across all indirect spend categories (with an emphasis on Marketing), identifying cost savings opportunities, driving change and implementing best practices to support a best-in-class Procurement function. This position may have one or more direct reports supporting additional categories.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
* Develop Category Strategy. Analyze Category Spend. Determine Category Requirements. Prepare RFP and send to Vendors. Review RFP Submission and Short List Vendors. Negotiate with Select Vendors. Execute Contracts. Develop Transition Plan.
- Ensure that self and direct reports apply appropriate practices throughout sourcing projects to maintain a competitive environment, delivering timely RFPs to assist in the delivery of EBIT savings
- Represent Signet with external vendor community on sourcing events
- Explore options for continuous improvement that drive cost savings as well as process improvements
* Alignment with stakeholders to define the strategy and vision of spend categories and related programs, accountable for building strong and effective relationship with internal stakeholders.
* Development and Training of team members:
- Cross-training and development of staff to ensure Sourcing is positioned to meet departmental and corporate strategic objectives.
- Support on day-to-day projects, identify areas of improvements, best practice recommendation and direct, targeted feedback of analysis and project management.
- Motivate the department to maintain process compliance, innovation and tenacity.
* Develop/enhance robust roadmap that defines projects and resources required. Complete and enact comprehensive plan to ensure commitments of Sourcing Tasks are achieved.
* Lead development of consistent dashboard and reporting tools. Responsible for development, monitoring and reporting performance to the budget commitments through category audits.
Performs additional duties and projects as assigned.
Consistent regular scheduled attendance is considered an essential function of this job.
Position Qualifications:
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to delegate responsibilities.
- Effective relationship building, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills.
- Ability to think strategically and align goals with department and corporate strategy.
- Strong project management skills.
- Keen analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills and abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously, collaboratively, and as a member of cross-functional business team.
- Required or Acceptable Job-Related Experience:
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to partner and influence cross-functionally.
Years of Job-Related Experience Required: 7+ years recommended of experience in sourcing, and/or purchasing, demonstrating progressive levels of responsibility. 2+ years recommended of supervisory experience preferred.
Technical/Other Skills Required: Technical expertise across enterprise resource planning systems and P2P. Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
