Overview
Within Global Procurement, Sourcing & Buying Operations (SBO) is part of Deutsche Bank’s Procurement & Travel Operations (PTO) organization. We support the end-to-end Procurement process and are directly responsible for connecting the company’s transactional procurement activities with strategic procurement. This includes the following: Buying Enablement, Category & Contract Enablement, and Consumption Management.
SBO provides PTO process subject matter expertise to Strategic Procurement as a part of the Category Operations Team. This team will ensure that contracts negotiated by Strategic Procurement can be on-boarded and processed through one of the Bank’s approved purchasing channels.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive process improvement based on targets, best practices, and outcome of KPIs and audits
  • Lead and/or support various projects with operational impact including implementation of new buying channels
  • Own category Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) such as Purchase Order Compliance, spend against contract, Buying Channel Adherence, and other category health KPIs for a certain set of spend categories, and work with Strategic Procurement to improve such KPI’s
  • Own on behalf of Procurement Operations certain commodities and act as an interface and liaison into Strategic Procurement
  • Support Buying Channel selection, as defined by catalog strategy and respective Category Manager(s), which is vital to driving a more compliant organization
  • Support sourcing activities to ensure that all operational aspects are covered by ensuring standard terms and conditions are including in the contract including purchase order, invoicing, and dispute resolution processes
Skills You’ll Need
  • Ability to drive category review sessions with the category managers reviewing topics such as Sourcing pipeline, category health KPIs, buying channel review, Preferred supplier and tail spend vendor review, PO compliance and sourcing opportunities
  • Experience of undertaking a similar role in a large-scale company with global reach (in a Procurement, Finance or Business Management Function)
  • Experience in Procurement with an understanding of sourcing and procurement operations processes and/or procurement process optimization a plus. Experience in commercial management or vendor/contract management a plus
  • Advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel including expertise in pivot tables, shortcuts, formulas, and lookups
  • Ability to get buy-in and commitment from both internal and external stakeholders, especially from senior stakeholders involving complex situations

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight as well as in a team setting. Work in global teams across different time zones and within a matrix environment
  • Strong reporting skills at senior management level
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills and organization skills to drive change
  • Experience in building strong productive relationships and collaboration with key stakeholders
