1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
As the Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying facility design and personnel requirements to help keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll also develop work instructions and update standard operating procedures. As a part of the team, you’ll have a starring role in helping us continue to provide daily business solutions for our global customers.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Contribute to the creation of standard operating procedures
- Provide value propositions by identifying opportunities through rigorous data collection and analysis from the receiving, inventory and fulfillment processes
- Craft marketable solutions for clients
- Identify, propose and deliver key initiatives that improve the client’s supply chain operations and drive efficiency into the team’s internal processes
- Represent your solutions to senior management and clients
- Support operational and process improvement projects for current operations as needed
- Assist with the development of engineered solutions; conduct pilot programs, simulations, sprints and time studies
- Develop and deliver productivity and engineered solutions for the account
- Work alongside operations personnel to execute specific engineering efforts
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent related work or military experience
- 1 year of prior related work experience
- Demonstrated attention to detail
It’d be great if you also have:
- Ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
- Experience with analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Exceptional data management and SQL skills
- Microsoft Office experience
- Strong analytical skills, including using various analyses, data mining and simulations in Microsoft BI, Access and Excel to identify and scope opportunities within the customer’s supply chain
- Provide end-to-end solutions and own the development, enhancement, and maintenance of the deliverables
- 2 years of experience in one or more key functional areas: supply chain management, logistics, decision support systems/technology, transportation management, distribution or procurement functional responsibilities
- Experience working in a production environment
- Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems
- Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification
