Job Summary


As a Technology Solution Architect, develops and maintains effective working relationships with business leads and senior management. Oversee specific technology implementations, change management, expectation management, and performance criteria.


  • Function as an active liaison between IT and the Business Unit to field client related needs / concerns, priorities, and trends.
  • Undertake ownership/accountability for delivering IT results to the Business Unit
  • Direct the Business Unit on information system technologies, their functionalities, costs, benefits, and implementation requirements, as well as, seek new opportunities to apply technologies to the business processes
  • Deploy and oversee the value management to deliver process efficiency and ensure effective usage of technology investments


Job Responsibilities


  • Own and develop day-to-day relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance integration as well as establish a deep understanding of the T&D customers' business and functional needs.
  • Provide specific contributions as directed by the GPM.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Solutions Architects, the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), System Integrators and Product Vendors to help develop Business Requirements Documents and Requirements Traceability Matrices aligned with T&D customer needs.
  • Provide product expertise in regards to functional needs and processes.
  • Assist the IT Group Product Manager (GPM) and T&D customers to develop business cases, roadmaps and cost-benefit analysis of new operational technologies.
  • Work with Product Vendors, Subject Matter Experts (SME), T&D partners, IT partners, external partners and consultants to maintain abreast of new operational technologies that can improve, automate, and transform T&D business processes.
  • Own functional specifications and serve as a functional expert with a deep understanding of T&D/OT business needs regarding product/system capabilities to develop business requirements, perform quality assurance and define reporting and alerting requirements.
  • Facilitate and coordinate external benchmarking/best practice efforts and relationships with other business organizations.
  • Perform as a key member of project teams to ensure customer needs are met throughout the planning, design, integration, testing and production acceptance stages of projects.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to learn about new operational technologies and solutions. Develop solution options to address technical issues and satisfy business requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within the information technology field.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to proactively communicate technical topics in a clear, succinct, and relevant way.
  • Work and effectively communicate with a wide range of people - peers, vendors, staff members, and others.
  • 2+ years business analysis experience supporting multiple, large sized, complex projects by documenting requirements, establishing scope, establishing objectives and determining strategy for implementing systems to achieve business goals.
