Position Summary:
As a Principal Software Architect, you will be working with motivated, diverse, and knowledgeable development teams to deliver world-class products. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, documenting and testing cloud-based software for the next generation of Patient Care Software products. This role requires the ability to work as part of a team to realize complex, innovative, high reliability systems that improve the quality of life of people around the world.
- Lead major/complex projects, involving delegation of work and review of work products ensuring that all deliverables conform to Medtronic and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate and lead scrum teams through the design, development, and verification of software products, in an agile environment to provide high quality web portals in a fast-paced environment.
- Support test automation strategy and drive implementation, execution and verification of unit tests and integration tests.
- Create and document all aspects of the software engineering processes for products under development, incorporating the highest quality standards, cost effectiveness, and measurable efficiency.
- Provide leadership to agile teams of engineers, providing mentoring and training as necessary.
- Participate in project planning, estimating, tracking and reporting activities.
What you will have:
- Experience with Mobile APP development on Android / iOS
- Good understanding of Continuous Integration environments (Jenkins, Bamboo, ElectricCloud)
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 7+ years of designing and developing advanced applications for web and mobile platform.
- Experience with Java, Spring MVC, JPA, MySQL, Angular, AWS, Kotlin, Docker, Cloud Computing/AWS/AZZURE
- Familiarity using test automation tools
- Experience with configuration management tools and best practices (GIT, SVN, etc.).
- Experience with Android Jetpack components including: Lifecycle components, Work Manager, Live Data, Room
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with layered architecture and Design Patterns
- Clarity and precision in verbal and written communication
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of RUST Framework and its implementation on existing systems.
