Summary:

Oversees construction of the project and coordinate all construction activities on site, electrical, civil and -mechanical solar installation work.

Safety Accountabilities:

  • Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while
  • Leads and support the site team in technical, quality and safety, utilizing systems in
  • Ensures creation, training, and understanding of standard work instructions (SWIs) for all Scopes of Work.
  • Ensures new hires receive job- and task-specific training prior to work

  • Ensures Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's) occurs daily before scopes of work

Client Relationship Management Accountabilities:

  • Strengthen and continually maintain client

Planning:

  • Identifies potential schedule changes, workflow and staffing
  • Recommends and evaluates sub-contractors for use on
  • Monitors the construction site to oversee work in
  • Provides information about site activities including routing, fence crossings, traffic flow, water flow, moving farm animals, and hazards for the landowners on the
  • Ensures construction disciplines are coordinating daily functions to minimize schedule
  • Sets up initial layout and site infrastructure services to include water, power, internet and office trailers and required
  • Schedules and ensures appropriate staffing for daily construction activities with employees and sub-

Leadership:

  • Identifies and mitigates potential employee relations
  • Fosters a culture of continuous
  • Supports the PM and APM for required management
  • Ensures that project is utilizing Safety Management Systems (SMS), Quality Managements Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and technical
  • Directs, guides, and coaches Superintendents and Craft to ensure activities on site are understood and following established processes through quality
  • Performs audit functions to ensure
  • Chairs the daily (POD) Plan of the Day and the Plan of the Next DAY (POND)
  • Ensures sub-contractors are monitored on
  • Understands the budget productivities & production rates and drives the project to be successful in both.
  • Supports the Logistics Program and involved with the processes of materials handling and logistics.

Qualifications:

  • High School
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 certifications
  • Experience on projects that are larger than 250MW
  • 3-5 years field experience in a Superintendent role in renewables, utility work or heavy construction
  • Must have a valid current driver license, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance

Anticipated base salary range: $110,000- $135,000
