Software Engineer, Jr. 2023-22

G2 Software Systems, Inc. (G2) is looking for a self-directed and motivated individual to join our team as a software developer in support of a DoD program.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Ability to work independently as well as in the team setting;
• Effective communication and writing skills.
• Knowledgeable of Agile Software Engineering Process and Life Cycle;
• Demonstrated experience with software development for database interactions, especially with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server is desired;
• Some programming experience in Java, and JavaScript full stack development;

This position requires an individual to be a US citizen and either have, or be able to obtain, and retain a DoD clearance.

In addition to the skills mentioned above, having a few of the skills below is desirable:

• Experience with presenting software analysis recommendations to technical committee and/or configuration control board
• Experience translating operational needs into long-term architecture solutions
• Experience in software simulation development and integration
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue JS packages
• Experience in Object Oriented software analysis and design, as well as UML, IDL, and UDL
• Experience developing, modifying, and applying computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems affecting system and program performance
• Experience in User Interface design and implementation
• Detailed knowledge of how to read, modify, debug and add features to automated software build configurations
• Experience with GIT, Maven, JIRA
• Ability to design and build related databases, performing data access analysis design, and archive/recovery design, implementation, and management
• Experience with build automation, Jenkins, automated tests
• Experience with JSON, JQuery, GWT, XML, XSLT, XQuery
