Afficiency is a rapidly growing Insurtech startup whose mission is to provide life insurance to everyone on the platforms they already trust. Located in NYC, we design life insurance products that can be purchased entirely digitally and can be easily embedded into distribution platforms or with agents who sell insurance. The company is experiencing rapid growth and is well-funded. We are looking for new team members to join us on our journey to shake up the life insurance industry. We need individuals who bring passion, curiosity, and a desire for excellence.
As the Support Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support to our distribution partners. This is a hands-on, critical role in our organization and highly technical- the right candidate will enjoy problem-solving with our distribution team, leading the investigation of multiple Support Tickets while working collaboratively to understand and resolve technical issues.
Please note that this job is only hiring candidates that live in the Metro NYC area and can commute to the office.
- Prioritizing issues and giving our distribution partners the level of support and problem solving they need to implement our APIs in their environments
- Creating knowledge articles to complete our documentation, enabling our distribution partners to better understand their API integrations
- Being innovative within the team and with distribution partners to help improve processes and tools
- Love What You Do: Work with speed, accuracy, and intensity to ensure the job is done to your highest standard
- Solving complex API integration issues while driving successful and professional technical communications
- Professionalism: Respond to needs quickly, in a polite and respectful way, to our internal team and distribution partners
Must Have
- Ability to plan and manage projects independent and solve complex problems
- Eager learner, ready to dig into many technical areas
- 3+ years' experience with REST and RESTful APIs
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to software development
- In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement IT best practices
- Proficient English-speaking spills, ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple fashion to customers
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a previous hands-on Level 2 Technical Support role
