Job Description

Clayton Services is searching for a Software Engineer to join a thriving company in North Houston. The Software Engineer will be responsible for studying operational processes, designing comprehensive solutions, developing software applications, and overseeing their installation to develop and enhance information systems effectively.


Job Type: Direct-Hire

Pay Rate: $125,000 - $150,000/annually

Software Engineer Responsibilities:


  • Achieve engineering and organizational objectives by accomplishing related results as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Assess operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Prepare and implement solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by creating comprehensive documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Develop software solutions by thoroughly analyzing information needs, consulting with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Enhance operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Stay updated on the latest development tools, programming techniques, and computer equipment by studying state-of-the-art advancements and participating in educational opportunities.


Software Engineer Skills and Abilities:

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines.
  • In-depth knowledge of C#, ASP.Net Core, Typescript, and either VUE or React/Angular.
  • Experience with Docker, SQL/Postgres, MongoDB, Linux, and RabbitMQ.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills with proficiency in math and science.


Software Engineer Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, scripting, and project management.
