Network Analyst III

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

Systems requiring expertise will include LAN and WAN infrastructure, Software Defined Networks in cloud and on prem, Circuit and VPN, Wireless, Audio, Video and Voice Over IP phones. Will use familiarity with Aruba wireless access points and associated controllers, Palo Alto firewalls and Switches, VMware, Azure cloud networking, Cisco voice and video, Nortel PBX telecommunications systems, IPAM/Infoblox, Terraform, Github, security devices, and other associated devices to make adds and changes to better fit the campus community.

Supports and makes adds and changes as needed. Assists with storage and virtualization. Assists with managing lifecycle of network equipment. Drives ongoing improvements and efficiencies in operational practices, tools, and processes. Collaborates with project management team and acts as subject matter expert to assist with feasibility, budget, scope, and capacity needs. Assists with KPI and SLI data point gathering. Oversees partner/vendor work as needed. Manages and monitors network performance and asset inventory, utilizing network management tools and following industry best practices. Monitors critical system redundancy and security for disaster preparedness. Manages and coordinates IT network project activity. Oversees and directs the work of third parties on a per-project basis. Maintains technical knowledge and stays abreast of state-of-the-art communications and network devices. Maintains knowledge of applicable compliance requirements. Creates documentation of system architecture and repeatable Build, Run/Support activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or five or more years of back-to-back related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

In-depth DC, WAN, LAN Architecture and Administration experience. Previous experience delivering a new product, including methodologies, for an enterprise solution. Must have high initiative and strong written and verbal communication skills. Extensive experience with Splunk or other log aggregation tools. Experience with Application Load balancing via F5 devices and network troubleshooting. Experience in deployment automation, monitoring, and maintaining large-scale services with various underlying dependencies in a complex environment.

Experience with the following:

• Firewall administration, Data Center Switching, Azure networking
• VPN, Express Route, MPLS, SDWAN
• IPAM & Infoblox
• Applications – Wireshark, Nmap, Solar Winds, Zabbix
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub)
• DNS (external/Internal)
• SDN (VMWare, Azure)

Hiring Salary: $6,686 - $11,666 Per Month
