Software Engineer Jobs

Itron’s Global Network Design Center is looking to hire a recent college graduate to join their team. This team is responsible, in part, for developing, maintaining, and reviewing reports, plots and maps for Itron’s Distributed Intelligence product as it is deployed to our customer base around the world. Applicants are expected to have good data analytical skills, database knowledge, as well as programming and scripting knowledge.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Write Python and Shell scripts.
• Deal with Itron’s existing database and write advanced SQL queries for ETL process.
• Guide other engineers to develop scripts and applications.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for various project requirements and technical discussions.
• Work as a member of the GNDC team to develop and evaluate reports, plots, and maps related to Distributed Intelligence performance.

Qualifications - External

• Self-starter with high initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem solving and reasoning skills
• Basic understanding of programming
• Proven ability to learn quickly

Working Knowledge in the Following Areas is Desired

• Angular.js (Preferred) or other JavaScript UI Framework
• JavaScript, Python, Ruby, node.js
• PowerShell, Bash
• SQL Server, MySQL, or equivalent Relational Databases
• C# and the .Net Framework (Preferred) or Java
• Writing Unix/Bash Shell Scripts, Putty.
• Windows and/or Linux experience

Education

Must have graduated within 24 months from an accredited university with an applicable degree in a related field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering highly preferred).

Liberty Lake, WA: The annual base salary ranges from $65,478.40- $89,000.00
