Job Description
Inside the Role
DTFS continues to move towards a more distributed enterprise with a virtual-first and remote-first architectural approach to digitize all customer and inter-application touchpoints.
Primary responsibilities include learning about DTFS systems, processes, and procedures while participating in IT teams executing new development, enhancements and re-platforming of its’ IT applications. The job focus will be hands-on coding using the DTFS DevOps toolchain and applicable development technologies including Python, Java, cloud-native, API connectivity, low-code, Data Science, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), database, FOSS technologies, and others. Additional supporting functions include requirements gathering, user interface design, testing, and deployment techniques.

Salary placement is determined by your anticipated graduation year and ranges between $21 - $30 per hour.

What You Drive at DTFS
  • Join daily standups, weekly team meetings and meet with other IT leads on a regular basis to understand the active projects. Collaborate with internal and external teams
  • Participate in the digitalization efforts, including projects related to system modernization
  • Assist with writing and developing sustainable and efficient IT systems
  • Work with a team to achieve desired goals and interact with people from different backgrounds, cultural settings, and business areas
Knowledge You Should Bring
  • Experience with Microsoft 365: MS Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Project Management Skills: Project leader; Team member
  • Excellent relationship building/relationship management skills
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s/PhD Program from an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in IT, Science, Technology or Engineering
  • Software Development experience with Java, Angular, low-code, Shell Script or other languages
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
  • Experience with DevOps toolchain including GitHub, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, or Bitbucket
  • Familiarity with API technologies for inter-application communications
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Familiarity with CI/CD
