SUMMARY:
We're looking for a newly graduated engineers who would like to join our development teams to help create solutions for Rakuten Advertising. You will report to an Engineering Manager at Rakuten Advertising and be a part of a team of engineers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Understand how to break down work into concise deliverables with a focus on iterative product delivery
  • Responsible for hands-on development of solutions in a fast paced and highly scalable environment
  • Debug and resolve issues across multiple technology stacks and services
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines and teams
  • Operate independently to help develop and iterate on the next generation of services
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Knowledge of programming paradigms (multithreading, caching, performance tuning).
  • Development experience using Java, Golang, Python or React, Vue, JS ES5, HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge of data and data driven solutions
  • Excellent understanding of OOP design principles (loose coupling, encapsulation, etc.)
Qualification Requirements
  • Experience with working on and/or building microservices is preferred
  • Experience with SQL and data-analysis
  • B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience
At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $30 - $35 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
