Software Development Intern Jobs

Our client is seeking a Summer 2023 Software Development Intern.

The purpose of his role is to assist and support the engineering team in day-to-day tasks and ensure that the quality of the application being developed. The intern will interface with other developers and quality assurance members as part of work on the team. The intern will also work with product owners to understand the product and receive guidance on the needs of the business. Skills that will be learned during this internship include coding skills, test automation, test driven development, source control usage, discovery, issue tracking and quality assurance methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual quality assurance testing for interactive front-end assets, including screen reader and accessibility testing
• Writing test automation to support the long-term stability of the application
• Document test cases into organized, reusable test suites
• Review of coding practices and writing code in support of unit testing
• Work with development team to discover and address bugs, deficiencies and vulnerabilities found in its software
• Conversations with product and engineering teammates on tasks to perform

Schedule/Hours

• Work schedule is flexible
• Work would need to occur between 8AM to 5PM CT
• Expectation of 20-30 hours per week

Qualifications for the Internship

• Must be/have been enrolled in a college credit Computer Science class
