The Security Products group is responsible for developing a range of security related products at Fastly. As a part of this group, you will be working with technology brought in through the acquisition of Signal Sciences, specifically the API used by both developers and the Signal Sciences UI. The stack is written in Go (“Golang”), connecting to MongoDB. You will collaborate across product and engineering teams as you guide and develop the next phase of the API, including expanded integration between Signal Sciences and Fastly.
What You'll Do

• Write clean, modular, test-driven code to implement features from a customer-driven product roadmap that enables customers to protect their web applications
• Coordinate and communicate seamlessly with product managers and other engineers on the team and across other technical and product teams
• Support sales engineers and customer security operations who are selling and supporting your work
• Improve, expand, and automate our testing frameworks so problems are surfaced faster
• Contribute to code reviews, documentation and other team processes

What We're Looking For

• Strong software development and testing skills, with an appreciation for correctness
• Experience working in a collaborative, distributed team environment
• Comfort with learning from failure
• Understanding of what makes valuable observability with metrics, logging and tracing
• An ability and desire to automate everything
• Knowledge of HTTP and related networking protocols

• Los Angeles, CA

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $123,330 to $154,165.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
