Software Development Engineer in Test
Reporting to: QA Engineering Manager

We are seeking a passionate and talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join MX. You will be working as part of a growing experienced team, building, expanding, and enhancing our platform on our journey to making the world more financially strong.
Job Duties
  • Develop and maintain Sanity, Integration and End to End regression tests
  • Implement test scripts in a CI/CD framework
  • Design and develop automated tests to validate software functionality and performance
  • Develop and maintain test infrastructure, including test data and test environments
  • Research and implement new testing technologies and methodologies
  • Participate in sprint planning and issue estimation for automation projects
  • Collaborate with the development and quality assurance teams to ensure that all software is thoroughly tested
  • Mentor other members of the QA team to build their skills in test automation
  • Analyze test results and report defects to the development team
Job Requirements
  • Ability to think through and solve technical challenges
  • University degree or Coding Boot Camp certification preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with manual testing best practices
  • Experience building automation from test cases and test instructions
  • 5+ years experience in automation scripting and frameworks
  • Experience with implementing automated testing in a CI/CD pipeline
  • Experience with GitLab, Github or similar
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Appium, Cypress, Capybara)
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is a plus
  • Solid programming skills in Javascript, Ruby or Python
  • Strong communication skills
Work Environment

Compensation
The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $97,000 to $113,000. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
