The Marketing Communication Department (MarCom) oversees all marketing strategies for UMB and its subsidiaries, including strategic corporate communication, interactive marketing, special events for associates and customers, multimedia production and community relations. We strive to provide high-quality strategic consultation, expertise and unparalleled client service to all we serve. 
As the Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing an integrated business strategy for UMB’s social media channels and the UMB blog. In this role you will maintain content alignment with strategic priorities, aiding in UMB brand awareness and reputation management, integrating with line of business marketing campaigns, and supporting employer brand initiatives.
How you will spend your time

• You will take over amplification and manage the budget
• You will manage systems that UMB leverages for publications
• You will track clicks, campaigns and invoicing
• You will ensure that UMB adheres to compliance
• You will focus on social media channels, manage social media content and creation and respond to customers escalating any potential issues
• You will manage boosting and analytics

• Passion for social media strategies and ongoing learning
• OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism, or related field
• Knowledgeable in SEO best practices
• Knowledge of and familiarity with social media reporting, monitoring, listening and analytics tools
• 3+ years of experience in communication or marketing and social media writing and strategy experience in a corporate environment
• You have experience using WordPress

Compensation Range
Minimum $54,180.00 - Mid Point $72,240.00
The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job related factors.
