Job Description

Duties

  • Covers special events for social media purposes.
  • Tabulates responses, analyzes results and prepares a report to the Marketing Director.
  • Monitors website content and assists in updating websites under supervision of website designer.
  • Creates databases for facilities that are separated by customer demographics and markets to those specific demographics.
  • Under the direction of the Marketing Director, maintain all 10th Force Support Squadron (FSS) social media and digital marketing content and assists with the creation of marketing collateral content and campaigns.
  • Assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency and enhance participation in FSS activities.
  • Researches consumer and social media trends and implements as applicable.
  • Updates media daily to include accurate event information, answering customer inquiries and representing 10 FSS in a professional manner.
  • Prepares and conducts presentations as needed.
  • Uses social media opportunities such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, texting service and various social media tools to advertise 10 FSS activities and events and provides weekly status reports.
  • Implements social media campaigns, creates online surveys, conducts market research, and develops communication strategies to effectively reach target audience.
  • Other duties as needed.
  • An uncommon tour-of-duty may be required.
  • Works closely with Activity Managers to ensure programs and events are disseminated to target audiences.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
  • Videography experience preferable not required.
  • Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar and punctuation mandatory.
  • Must be able to lift to 20 lbs.
  • Must possess customer service skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • A general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices.
  • General marketing knowledge such as advertising principles and targeting demographic groups is required.
  • Experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information.
  • Up-to-date with current digital media opportunities and stay informed on capabilities of new media entering the marketplace.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized and work independently or with a team.
  • Experience in writing articles, copy writing and/or press releases necessary.
  • A working knowledge of MAC software packages to include PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver) required.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
