Who You Are

Ziff Tech Group is looking for a creative and organized Social Media Fellow to help us inform and entertain techies across all major social platforms. You should have an interest in not only creating daily content but also analyzing stats and monitoring trends so we're constantly improving our approach.

Above all, you should be an effective communicator. You'll be answering community concerns, collaborating with the video and editorial teams, and breaking down performance results for management.

What Will Be Your Responsibilities

• Organize and publish video content
• Monitor and relay community concerns
• Create and distribute Mashable and PCMag content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest
• Help brainstorm and create vertical video for Tiktok and Instagram Reels
• Write engaging, clean copy that's consistent with the Mashable and PCMag voice
• Research emerging platforms and trends to help us find new ways to reach audiences
• Collect and analyze performance data

What Does It Take To Do This Job

• Can devise and execute content ideas on a short turnaround
• Able to juggle daily social tasks with larger, long-term growth projects
• In terms of logistics, all interviews will take place over phone or video due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic***
• Passion for tech, pop culture, and a desire to keep learning more
• Social Media management experience, ideally for a company or institution
• An independent, self-motivated worker who knows when to ask questions

• Note: Disclosure as required by NYCHRL, the hourly rate for this role when being performed in the City of New York is $15.50/hr. Compensation for this business unit specific role is based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, as well as business & company performance.
