Social Media & Engagement Manager In San Francisco Bay Area

The Stone Soup Leadership Institute is seeking a seasoned Social Media Manager who is passionate about bringing Climate Education to our teachers.

Roles and Responsibilities: Social Media & Engagement Manager

• Experienced in Social Media platforms: Twitter, Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram & YouTube.

• Strong audience development focus: strategic outreach to grow followers;

• Engage and cross-share with education influencers across social media;

• Seasoned, high energy, self-starter with team spirit

•Engaging Social Media copywriter

• Vibrant graphics – Canva, Photoshop – building on the Institute’s extensive Content Library

•Regular team zoom with social media team – author, editor and videographer

• Detail oriented, takes pride in managing an editorial calendar;

• Submit weekly analytics & engagement report with strategic growth recommendations.

• Updating list of SM Calendars to Stone Soup Ed-Tech Platform and uploading files to necessary Dropbox folders.

Time Commitment

• Start date: September 2023, as 2-month project with review for year-round position;

• Virtual position within the U.S.: 15 hours/week: 2 hours/day upon experience;

• Compensation based upon experience.

The Institute has been a leader indeveloping climate education tools, trainings, and initiatives to build a sustainable world for over 25 years (Case Studies).The Institute’sStone Soup Climate Education Curriculumbrings to life the 100 stories in the book,Stone Soup for a Sustainable World: Life-Changing Stories of Young Heroes.This builds on the Institute’s first book andCurriculum for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Social Emotional Learning, & Service Learning.

Social Media Campaign:The Institute's social media team includes the author, editor and videographer who produce engaging short videos that bring these stories to life and a baseline content calendar for weekly content featuring Young Hero of the Week.To scale the Institute’s work globally, the social media posts are transferred toStone Soup Ed-Tech Platform.

Teacher Training/Professional Development Program: video-based training for educators to use the Stone Soup Climate Education Curriculum. seevideo
