Position Summary:
The Social Media Content Creator works collaboratively and strategically to help manage the social media presence of the Treasure Coast Food Bank. The Social Media Content Creator will develop content supporting the organization’s social media strategy while staying on top of current trends and industry best practices that will push digital engagement forward for Treasure Coast Food Bank. This position will continue to build Treasure Coast Food Banks’ brand identity and presence by strategically creating, curating, and publishing content and capturing the voice of Treasure Coast Food Bank.
The Social Media Content Creator will create, schedule, and post social media content to Treasure Coast Food Bank’s media channels. Additionally, you will monitor and respond to social media comments, continually seeking ways to engage audiences strategically.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates and identifies relevant outside organizations and social media influencers to foster beneficial partnerships on social media
- Remains flexible and willing to handle other marketing and communications duties as assigned
- Recommends and implements new channels/platforms
- Monitor and share postings from peer organizations/influencers on social media to build relationships
- Collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team members on content and strategy
- Regularly identifies emerging social media trends for possible implementation
- Captures photos and videos to highlight on our social media platforms
- Activities, and initiatives on social media
- Post promotions for partner organizations
- Creates audience-centered, strategic, meaningful, and engaging social media content
- Seeks ways to build a closer connection between our organization and audiences
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
- Monitors comments and direct messages across social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), responding when appropriate
- Collaborates with other Treasure Coast Food Bank employees and departments to promote events,
- Delivers stellar and rapid support for people making inquiries about food distributions or other organizational efforts
- Writes blog posts
- Explores creative ways to drive audience engagement successfully
- Runs paid boosts of social media posts
- Provides suggestions/recommendations for improvement to tools and processes
- Regularly monitors relevant activity on and off our channels
- Tracks and analyzes social media data for strategic insights into performance and future recommendations
- Essential business/ first responder: In instances of a federal, state, or locally declared emergency, Treasure Coast Food Bank is typically considered an essential business service and emergency responder. All employees may be required to perform regular or emergent duties on-site. Employee safety is balanced with business and community necessities. Some positions are more likely to be required on-site than others

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Trained in copywriting best practices preferred
- Understanding of SEO and metrics preferred
- 3-5 years of professional storytelling experience, including capturing phone and video content for digital distribution and writing short-form copy
- Comfort working with Canva or other graphic design tools preferred
- Experience running paid ads or boosting posts
- 3-5 years of professional experience managing social media for an organization
- Experience with third-party scheduling tools
- Photography and Videography skills
Physical Requirements & Acknowledgement:
This work is in an office environment. Must have the ability to sit at a computer workstation for up to eight hours. Ability to move, bend, lift, and carry up to 30lbs. on occasion throughout the 5 Food Bank facilities. Ability to communicate in a clear speaking voice in person and over the phone. Ability to interpret instructions and questions when asked. After business hours, work is required occasionally throughout the year. Travel between quad-county areas using a personal vehicle may be required.
