    The N-Tech Site Reliability Engineering team's goal is to improve the reliability and resilience of the many services that Netflix employees leverage on a daily basis.     Responsibilities

    • Each team member holds the pager for Netflix internal services and is able to command incidents with a focus on getting them to resolution
    • Improve availability, reliability, and observability of internal Netflix services and reduce the burden of human toil with tooling and automation
    • Proactively identify sources of instability in distributed systems and analyzing how complex systems fail from a reliability and resilience perspective
    • Engage with product teams to diagnose operational surprises and drive improvements
    • Improve our incident management lifecycle to identify, mitigate, and learn from reliability risks
    • Conduct blame-aware incident reviews to learn from operational surprises that occur
    • Form and maintain relationships with internal and external partners
    • Reads signals in aggregate to develop deeper insights into the quality of experience for our users to help inform business decisions
    • Promote reliability and resilience practices throughout the organization

    Skills and Experiences:

    • Experience with incident management and response
    • Familiarity with enterprise software solutions like Slack & GSuite
    • Strong collaboration & continuous improvement mindset
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and microservices architecture
    • Familiarity with Human Factors Engineering
    • Ability to cultivate relationships through the influence
    • Ability to grow expertise, influence & educate others
    • Experience conducting blame-aware incident reviews
    • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Go, Java or JavaScript/Node.js)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with complex sociotechnical systems and their successful operations at scale
