ROLE – SRE

LOCATION – Austin, Cupertino, or NY

MAIN SKILLS - Cloud orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad, CD/CD pipelines using GitHub hooks, TeamCity, Docker, and Artifactory, load balancers, traffic-envoys, and proxies, SSL/mTLS and certificate management, Familiarity with Java runtime / JVM, observability systems such as Prometheus or Open Metrics, load testing of backend applications

The Apple Pay Engineering team is looking for someone who can orchestrate and maintain deployments of cloud services crucial to bringing future Apple Pay products to life. The right candidate will work directly with cross-functional engineers from multiple teams involved in performance testing of our applications. This role works closely with development teams to speed up the partner onboarding process and deliver high quality solutions to Apple Pay users worldwide.

Key Qualifications

• Familiarity with Java runtime / JVM
• Experience with SSL/mTLS and certificate management
• Hands-on experience with cloud orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Nomad
• Familiarity with load balancers, traffic-envoys, and proxies
• Setting up CD/CD pipelines using GitHub hooks, TeamCity, Docker, and Artifactory

Additional Qualifications

• DevOps mindset: concepts of developer-friendly declarative infrastructure, CI/CD bots etc.
• Familiarity with observability systems such as Prometheus or Open Metrics
• Familiarity with concepts of load testing of backend applications
