About the Job

Silicon Validation Expert designs, executes, and debugs validation tests using an existing and growing software test framework. Test are designed to run on chip and system level emulation model and final system hardware. When failures occur, engineer will work across multiple teams to triage, debug and root cause failure.

Designs, assesses, develops, modifies, and evaluates tests for validating ASICs. Validates architecture and logic design through software developed for chip-level pre-silicon emulation, and post-silicon execution on HPC systems. Examines test failures to seek source cause. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed test design. May direct support personnel in the preparation and execution of detailed tests plans.

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Mentors and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant judgment to arrive at best method for accomplishing work and achieving goals. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical expertise and oversees project teams of silicon validation engineers along with development partners responsible for all stages of VLSI design and development for complex products, solutions, and platforms, including test design, emulation, and hardware testing.

• Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with architecture; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
• Oversees project team of other validation engineers and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions for validating network ASICs.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering or equivalent
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members to set an example of innovation and excellence.
• 6-10+ years of experience in VLSI design, verification, implementation, or validation
• Drives ASIC validation innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the organization.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Expert level knowledge of a programming and scripting, hardware description language, and/or FPGA or Emulation tools.
• Expert level proficiency in computer engineering fundamentals, digital logic, and computer architecture.
• Expert level assessment and problem-solving skills.
• Expert level knowledge of validating ASIC components, architectures, and algorithms.
• Experience in executive written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

Annual Salary: $122,700.00 - $282,500.00
