Job Title Shipping/Receiving

(Day Shift) Monday to Friday, weekends as needed.

Job summary

Shipping/Receiving is responsible for the accurate loading and unloading of raw materials, product, finished goods and must ensure correct record verification and documentation as well as safe movement and storage of items.

• Weight incoming bean receiving trucks and record information; weigh empty truck on same weight ticket and turn in to purchasing.
• Visually inspect product, pull sample and deliver to laboratory for analysis.
• Inspect incoming truck/container for sanitation, validate proper seals are in place, numbers on seals match bill of lading numbers, overall appearance and smell is clean and sanitary.
• Maintain work area and equipment, ensure clean, sanitary and orderly conditions, and apply 5S principals.
• Notify shift supervisor immediately regarding any apparent unsatisfactory product, discrepancies, shipment container issues or missing seals.
• Unload and store received product in designated area, stacking properly within height limits.
• Ensure tools and equipment is in good working order; report any defective materials, missing or damaged tools to the supervisor.
• Comply with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality including lockout tag out, GMP, HACCP, Allergen and Blommer specific policies and procedures.
• Verify accuracy of shipment/delivery records such as bill of lading, product and quantity, enter information into system.
• Correctly complete any required reports or paperwork such as production data sheets, order documentation.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through good inventory control, ensure accurate entry of receiving into WMS inventory system and that all shipping documents have been signed.

• Ability to drive a forklift and properly load trucks for secure transport
• Must be able to read and write English to review and prepare shipment documents.
• 2+ years shipping/receiving experience.
• Basic use of computer, tablet, scanner, iPad for recording information.
