We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team as a Shipping Clerk at our Des Moines, IA facility. The shift is 7:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday through Friday with the possibility of overtime. Starting pay is $22.69 and may be higher depending on experience.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Inspect parts before shipping and when receiving back in.
• Record labor accurately on work order cards and tie sheets.
• Assemble parts
• Double count outgoing and incoming equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Receive in return orders and fill out return forms, sign off.
• Follow Corp. procedure in shipping/receiving to ensure correct equipment and accuracy of counts loaded.
• Load trucks, rail cars, etc.
• Move parts from stock to shipping holding area using material handling equipment.
• Perform other task as assigned by supervision.
• Check on other areas in plant to see if parts they need are in process.
• Count, stack, bundle, and palletize parts.
• Write on 365A how order is put up and weights.

Machines, Tools, And Equipment Used

Successful applicant will also use the following tools and equipment to complete their assigned tasks: overhead cranes, jib cranes, fork trucks (elec. Or hydraulic), hand dollies, 2 wheel carts, banders & cutters, hand tools, measuring tape, various shipping reports.

Education & Skill & Other Requirements

• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to read drawings.

Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
