Second shift Monday - Friday 3:15 P M-11:30 with O/ T (mandatory) : This is a fast paced, high volume distribution operation and the position interacts with both internal and external customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for monitoring / creating daily delivery routes, scheduling pickups, and resolving delivery issues. Assist in identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. Update customers and sales on their shipments and inform them of eta's and changes Makes recommendations for processes and procedure changes required to improve overall Logistics efficiency Interface with customers, vendors and internal contacts Translate internal requests into tasks which are completed timely Create, update and maintain spreadsheets and logs Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assists in other departments as needed Position Requirements Previous experience in a distribution environment, logistics, routing. 3+ years needed. General knowledge of warehouse operations and a background involving logistical training and experience required Strong sense of time organization and sense of urgency, comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Good communication; email, phone and in person Detail oriented Problem solving ability including independent thinking and decision making Aptitude for systems and internet applications Computer competency including Microsoft Office Suite, email, routing software, internet Geographic knowledge of the Chicago and surrounding areas, helpful but not required High School Diploma, some College preferred Job Type: Full-time Salary: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour Schedule: Pando Logic.
