Shipping Clerk Jobs

Position Summary
Provide daily coordination services for customer logistics and production activities in the terminal. Such activities include maintaining bulk liquid tank, railcar inventories, coordinating onsite loading paperwork, and communicating with incoming carriers for loading/unloading. The Shipping Clerk also provides support for the Production Superintendent, Transloading Supervisor, and Peroxide Supervisor in the terminal. Perform logistics services in accordance to regulatory requirements and ISO-9001 quality procedures.
Position Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication skills, the ability to perform math calculations.
• Must have a high school diploma and some knowledge of logistic coordination
• Demonstrated ability to operate a computer keyboard, office equipment, and simple software program spreadsheets and word processing
• Possess the ability to make decisions, seek advice when necessary, and solve logistic problems

Scope Of Responsibilities And Accountability
Primary – Essential

• Record and report monthly average load times per product
• Maintain daily inventories for customer-leased tanks and railcars by utilizing Excel spreadsheets and dry erase boards posted
• Collect and dispose of expired retain samples
• Communicate daily with customer service via phone or email regarding any loading issues or missing paperwork for loads.Record and report daily, weekly, and monthly usage logs for steam and scale use
• Maintain sign-in sheet for drivers and log load times into shared Excel spreadsheet
• Collect and distribute daily transactional data and paperwork
• Scale in/out all incoming trucks for loading or unloading
• Create, maintain, and distribute weekend on-call listing
• Collect and prepare all shipping paperwork, loading documents, bills of lading, and receivers for incoming supply deliveries, customer packaging, or inbound and outbound loads

Secondary Responsibilities

• Perform any other business functions as requested by supervision
• The Shipping Clerk will provide daily clerical support for the Production Superintendent, Transloading Supervisor and Peroxide Supervisor

You Should Be Proficient In

• Excellent Communication Skills
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment

Salary Info
