Service Warranty Administrator – Salina, KS

The Construction Equipment (CE) Service group of Great Plains Manufacturing (GPM) is seeking a Warranty Administrator to analyze and resolve warranty claims for Kubota power units such as skid steers manufactured by GPM.

The CE Service group is currently managed by Land Pride Engineering, but eventually this group will report to the CE Division of GPM. This position works Mon-Fri from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and is based in Salina, KS.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process warranty claims submitted to GPM by Kubota Sales Companies.
  • Provide problem solving and troubleshooting information to Service Specialists.
  • Prepare reports/data showing volume, type, and disposition of warranty claims.
  • Communicate with Kubota Sales Companies as needed to facilitate closure of the warranty claims.
  • Confirm the nature of the warranty claim by reviewing photos, emails, returned parts, etc.
  • Work with other GPM Departments including Mfg, Engineering and Sourcing.
  • Other tasks as assigned to support the new CE Service Group.
  • Analyze warranty data to validate labor and parts claims are valid and consistent prior to reimbursement.
  • Manage calls and answer questions regarding warranty.
  • Work with Sourcing providing reports and data for supplier recovery.
  • Analyze warranty claims to determine trends of potentially defective products.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings/schematics a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn new software such as K-Warranty, KITS, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related warranty role preferred
