Core Technology (CT) is a global team responsible for the end-to-end eBay technology platform. This platform runs our entire infrastructure and all the services that come together to form ebay.com.

As part of eBay's cloud initiative, eBay is building private cloud storage and database solutions. These solutions are being built from scratch with open-source thought process.

We are currently building high performance, distributed, reliable, elastic block storage, object storage and file systems services. If you are passionate about building pioneering, distributed, cloud native storage from ground up, you will love to be part of this initiative.

Be part of a team of super-smart engineers building next-gen storage platforms. You will design and implement highly scalable, distributed, performant and available system software. This team comes up with innovative ideas to solve sophisticated problems and needs. You must be be ready to do iterative development with the attitude of no fear and able to shift or change based on the needs

• Brocade SAN knowledge and administration/ troubleshooting
• Hitachi/EMC/NetApp storage knowledge and administration/ troubleshooting
• Experience with KSPLICE, Solaris & OEL OS Security
• In-depth knowledge of Veritas Storage Foundation Suite
• In-Depth and strong knowledge on Oracle Enterprise Linux
• Expert in Kubernetes & Python programming. GOLANG is a big plus.
• Knowledge on SSDs along with administration/ troubleshooting
• DTRACE programming and Solaris & OEL server running Oracle DB troubleshooting
• Experience with migration from Solaris to OEL is a big plus.
• Strong motivation towards self-service & automation.
• BS/MSCS, plus 10+ years of In-depth knowledge of SUN Solaris 10 & 11

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
