YOUR MISSION (The ):

The Server will play an important role in delivering outstanding guest service to guests by offering timely, efficient, knowledgeable, warm, and truly remarkable service. Listen, record, communicate and deliver food & beverage items based on requests, guest history, and preferences. Be enthusiastic and use your talents to sell our experience to our guests.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):

In helping you understand your role, the following is a list of your essential job responsibilities. Please keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive and that you may be asked to perform other job tasks by your supervisors/managers not listed below in the constant quest to provide a fantastic customer service experience for our guests:

• Execute fabulous guest service
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders
• Prepare basic, non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, water, iced tea, etc.
• Must be physically present at work, in assigned workstation, in order to perform all functions required of the position.
• Perform side work duties on a daily basis and other duties as assigned.
• Use excellent communication skills with guests, staff including verbal, written and body language
• Enthusiastically describe details of food dishes and beverages at time of delivery to guests
• Notify the line chef of any dishes that are not properly prepared.
• Be a team player!
• Learn and retain food & beverage and menu knowledge

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

• Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Bend, squat, and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties
• Adhere to all policies including but not limited to attendance, safety, behavior
• Knowledge of table service procedures and table etiquette.
• Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
• Work with others like a rockstar, while constantly advocating for your guests
• Familiarity with food, beverage, and wine service.
• Able to work in an environment that has varying levels of smoke, crowds, and noise the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
• Lift and carry 50 lbs., carry and balance plates, cocktail tray on a regular and frequent basis
• Comply with all safety and health department procedures, as well as, all state and federal laws
• Ability to cash handle and be responsible for payment transactions for your customers
• Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards

MUST HAVE'S

• Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.

WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE'S

• Previous experience as a server preferred

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
