JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Sr. VMware Engineer with NSX Specialization to administer, deploy and manage VMWare NSX-T supporting Fox's Enterprise and Media environments.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze and isolate problems and issues and work with other Fox team members as well vendors on coming up with a timely solution
  • Successfully deliver projects, meet project milestones, and communicate issues/risks appropriately
  • Collaborate effectively with a team, utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Maintain processes, procedures, documentation and associated training plans for systems administration and operations teams
  • Administer, deploy, and maintain security roles and policies using NSX-T on both VMWare and bare metal systems
  • Work closely with the Systems, VDI, Broadcast and Cyber Security Teams to create the proper security policies and deploy them
  • Create and maintain system documentation for VMWare and NSX-T including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps
  • Enhance and improve existing infrastructure through automation and reporting
  • Administer and deploy VMware NSX-T environment
  • Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Demonstrated experience with systems like Github or vRealize Code Stream
  • Upgrade environments that are EOSL
  • Demonstrated experience running containerized workloads and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows Deployments and User Profile Management.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn established security and availability management policies
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory, Groups and Policies
  • Experience using Installation and Configuration Management best practices
  • A self-starter that shows initiative and takes action
  • Required to be able to do analysis of current state and make recommendations for configuration improvements
  • Current VMware Certification: VCP-DCV, VCP-CMA, VCP-NV, Professional VMware NSX-T DataCenter, etc..
  • Experience with SCCM
  • Experience working in a large VMWare environment
  • Experience with VMware vRealize Operations
  • Demonstrated experience with programming and/or scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerCLI/Powershell, etc.)
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Windows 10 desktop platforms and Windows Servers Technologies.
  • Capability of briefing management on project status
  • NSX-T SME that will work with the Infrastructure & Operations Team to manage, develop, operate, and document environments
  • Standards creation
  • Work with team to improve overall performance and health of VMWare Environments
  • Experience deploying applications via RDSH.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn server driven applications and databases
  • Demonstrated experience with automation technologies (vRealize Automation, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills, to include building and maintaining interdepartmental relationships
  • Horizon View SME particularly around governance of access via Security Gateways, Load-balancers, RBAC for Desktop Pools, etc.
