Senior Tax Accountant Jobs

As a Tax Accountant, your main responsibility will be to provide outstanding personal service to a section of our small business clientele. We interact with our clients on a frequent basis and our systems keep workflow running smoothly throughout the year. You will supervise and review the monthly accounting financials, prepare and review income tax returns (individual and corporate and business entities) and help clients with ongoing tax planning. As a primary contact person, you will provide exceptional personal service to clients in long-lasting working relationships. We need your help to service a rapidly growing number of clients.

Business Accounting Services is a unique and successful family owned accounting firm. We have a history of growth in each of our 43 plus years of business and now we are looking for an exceptional person to fill a new position.

We use a systematic approach to partner with our clients who we provide a package of services to, which includes monthly accounting, tax planning and preparation, payroll and business advice. In essence, we help small business owners be better organized, helping them grow and be more profitable while helping them save on taxes. Because we are a small firm, we understand small businesses and our employees play a key role in our clients’ success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review (and sometimes prepare) monthly financial reports for your group of clients

Supervise bookkeepers in their preparation

Prepare tax returns and estimates

Provide tax planning and advice directly to clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of 3 years experience with tax return prep for S Corps, Partnerships and Individuals.

Enrolled Agent (EA) required

Good working knowledge of financial statements.

Evidence of supervisory ability

Upbeat, confident and friendly personality

Knows how to communicate well with small business clients

Must be computer savvy, embrace technology, and be willing to learn a bunch of new stuff (we use Ultratax, Quickbooks Online, Full Contact Accounting, Filecabinet CS, etc)!

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Compensation: Competitive base pay commensurate with experience plus incentive pay based on work completed.
