The QA Engineer is responsible for testing features of complex software solutions. They will analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design and execute test cases.

*This position is an onsite position; the working location is in Honolulu, Hawaii

Responsibilities

• Planning and execution of Black Box testing, including testing of alternative, exception, and error cases as well as boundary testing
• Defect Management including logging defects, triaging severity and priority based on business input, and re-testing defect fixes
• Design and execute test cases for features of a complex solution by understanding and analyzing functional and non-functional requirements
• Apply industry standard testing techniques at all post-development levels of the STLC
• Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and apply concepts as applicable to my assigned tasks
• Provide guidance to junior members of the testing team
• Able to communicate effectively, clearly, concisely in both written and verbal forms
• Provide input into the planning and execution of testing in alignment with the preferred project and testing methodology in use by the Client
• Test the User Interface / User Experience against UIX designs (Figma or wireframes). Proactively identify potential misalignment between the UIX designs and requirements as documented, and work with Business Analysts and UIX designers to make applicable updates.
• Work closely with Business Analysts to ensure understanding of the functional requirements to be tested. Proactively identify any gaps in the requirements as documented, and work with Business Analysts to make applicable updates.

Qualifications

• Experience with technologies and tools to support testing:
• Strong communication, problem solving, self-organization, and teamwork skills
• Bachelor's degree in IT related field or 3-5 years of experience in software testing

o Wave

o Jmeter

o Postman

• Experience with industry standard automated testing frameworks including TestCafe and Cypress
