To support the continued growth of this $900M+ high growth CPG food organisation the research & development team now need a Senior Scientist to deliver more restaurant quality foods at home.

The Role:

• Define specifications and quality controls to assure robust manufacturing and finished goods quality.
• Be tightly connected and a key contributor to the broader o
• Scale-up and commercialization across our supply network, existing and new manufacturing sites
• Influence and support internal teams, external stakeholders, and programs
• Partner with our Corporate Executive Chef to advance gold standards and application of culinary recipes into production ready products for retail and club channels.
• Generate new products, gold standards, and advance our Innovation, Renovation, Productivity and Line extension pipelines.
• Develop and commercialize differentiated new products supporting the values of unrivalled quality, creativity and innovation, and speed to market across core brands, existing pipeline, and innovation platforms.
• Conduct product performance tests and comprehensive evaluations for claim substantiations and to maximize user experience.
• Advance the business through technical, culinary and formulation excellence ensuring all aspects meet or exceed the quality and product performance requirements within a managed timeline and cost objective.
• Partner within the Business Unit to mitigate input costs, anticipate inflationary changes and enhance margins through joint cost leadership.
• Effectively apply and implement consumer food insights and trends along with sensory attributes and principles into project work to guide decision-making.
• Advanced culinary basics - Product characteristics; Safe food handling techniques; Food & nutrition idea development; Product performance testing protocols
• Thrive in a fast-paced culture focused on change ready leadership and resiliency.

The Person

• Successfully executed innovation programs from idea to implementation, completing the research and business case to drive the change.
• Proactively track food trends to determine where product innovation and content creation opportunities exist, then translate how those trends could come to life to support the business strategies.
• Strong technical development skills, judgment and understanding of ingredient and process interactions.
• A mix of career experience across R&D, Engineering and/or Culinary Sciences
• Competency in formulation, ingredient technology, sensory sciences, and industrialization
• Experience using statistical design, analysis, and reporting.
• Knowledge and know-how leveraging supplier innovation, technical applications, and resources.
• 2-4+ years of Product Innovation, Value Generation, and Commercialization
• Experienced application of consumer, analytical and physical testing methodologies
• Continuous improvement mindset and methodology
• Demonstrate strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and conflict management.
• S. in Food Science or Engineering, ideally experience formulating products requiring thermal processing.
• Proven ability to develop "gold standard" products.
