Software Engineer (Python) - Machine Learning - Hedge Fund

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join a global, top-performing hedge fund. As a Software Engineer in Machine Learning, you will play a crucial role in building the infrastructure to support Machine Learning and AI and building a proprietary software platform which supports the fundamental investment strategies. You will work on greenfield projects to implement the latest AI and Machine Learning to facilitate the investment teams' decisions. This is a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment and see the results of your work within minutes or hours, with a focus on generating PnL with Machine Learning, using cutting edge technologies.

Total compensation package (base salary + bonus) up to $500,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the AI and machine learning team to implement AI-driven tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with the data science team to integrate fundamental data and alternative data sources into the platform.
• Code and build a brand new platform that facilitates investment decisions. Be part of the new curve of Machine Learning and AI within investment technologies.
• Manipulate data sources, and build data-driven applications using SQL and Python.
• Contribute to system design discussions and provide insights on how to improve data collection and processing.

Requirements:

• Solid understanding of data manipulation, SQL, and back-end development.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to wear multiple hats.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Strong interest in Machine Learning and AI.
