Role


This is currently a full-time remote position, with the possibility of limited future onsite visits in Olympia, WA. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall project management planning throughout the procurement and implementation phases of each project. The Project Manager will manage system implementations, major upgrades, and/or integration projects. Multiple projects are possible with parallel activities.


Minimum Project Management Responsibilities Include


Overall Project Management:


  • Risk Management Plan development, monitoring and ongoing assessment
  • Create communication plans for the implementation of Project
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Quality assurance/Quality control
  • Develop resource plans for implementation of any necessary tools to achieve goals
  • Establish, manage and continuously improve work plan management processes and controls to ensure the work plan is current
  • Develop Project Charters to include definition of overall project scope and governance
  • Issue Management Plan development, monitoring and resolution on a timely basis
  • Routine and ad hoc status reports for client and leadership teams
  • Direct and matrix level day-to-day staff work management, assignments, and duties to ensure work is performed at a high quality with on-time results
  • Project budget and spending plan development, monitoring and controls
  • Work remotely with client management team, project team, steering committees and stakeholders
  • Oversight of vendor performance
  • Develop resource plans for implementation of any necessary tools to achieve goals


Project Plan and Schedules:
  • Risk Management
  • Issue Management
  • Budget Management
  • Address key project planning areas and supporting processes
  • Ensure ongoing effectiveness of plan
  • Use PMI best practices
  • Monitor activities to ensure they are occurring as planned and deliverables are being met
  • Project plan should address and include the following at a minimum:
  • The documented work plan is achievable with a high degree of certainty
  • Tasks are documented with sufficient detail
  • Schedule Management
  • Communications
  • Resources are assigned to each task
  • Deliverables are clearly identified
  • Task dependencies are documented
  • Project work plan (schedule) should ensure at a minimum:
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Use existing templates and processes of the client where applicable and possible
  • Task durations are documented and realistic


Requirements


Position Requirements


  • 5 years or more experience managing technology projects
  • Willing to work remote with onsite if needed in Olympia, WA
  • Project Management Certification ( PMP ) through PMI
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 years or more Project Management experience


Desired Skills


  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure
  • Experience managing software releases in complex environments
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple releases simultaneously
  • Experience working with Washington State Agencies to deliver projects


Benefits


  • Salary range varies between $130-150k annual based on experience/level of hire.
  • Liberum offers a comprehensive benefits package with full medical, dental, life, short term disability coverage and 401k (4% matching, no vested period).
  • 3 - 5 yrs, FTE 15 days (120 hours), 5.00 hours accrued per pay cycle (bi-monthly)
  • 5+ yrs, FTE 20 days (160 hours), 6.67 hours accrued per pay cycle (bi-monthly)
  • 0 -2 yrs, FTE 10 days (80 hours), 3.33 hours accrued per pay cycle (bi-monthly)
  • PTO and Sick Leave are provided to all full-time employees. Liberum also offers 9 paid holidays per year.
