This position
As a Product Manager of Vulnerability Management at VikingCloud, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of our vulnerability management products/services to drive top line revenue growth if our existing scanning/vulnerability management solution. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to drive the product roadmap and ensure successful product launches. Your primary focus will be on delivering highly effective and user-friendly vulnerability management solutions in the Asgard platform that meets or exceeds the needs of our customers and helps protect their systems and data.

Responsibilities
  • User Experience (UX): Champion the importance of user experience and work closely with design teams to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces. Conduct user testing and gather feedback to drive continuous improvements.
  • Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap that outlines the prioritized features, enhancements, and integrations based on market trends, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
  • Product Development: Work closely with engineering teams to drive the development and delivery of the security scanner product, ensuring high-quality releases on time. Provide clear and concise product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Product Performance: Monitor key product metrics, user feedback, and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement and guide future product enhancements. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance and drive customer success.
  • Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about the competitive landscape, including analyzing competitor products and strategies, and use this information to inform product positioning and differentiation.
  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for our vulnerability management solution, including defining the product vision, identifying market opportunities, and analyzing customer needs and requirements.
  • Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product launches, including coordinating with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, messaging, and collateral.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate product plans, progress, and updates to internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and insights to inform product development decisions. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and stay informed about industry trends.

Qualifications
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive product innovation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales principles, with the ability to contribute to go-to-market strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and experience using data to drive product decisions is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of security scanning technologies, vulnerability management, and related industry standards.
  • Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Proven experience as a product manager, preferably in the cybersecurity/vulnerability management space or related field.
  • Experience with user-centred design principles and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
