Job Description

Senior Procurement Specialist


A leading manufacturing client is looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist that will be responsible for implementing procurement strategies. This role will focus on new product development and how to sustain production while producing cost savings. This person will be the liaison between suppliers and the company, create RFQs, and use company ERP system to maintain databases and cost data. The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Implement contingency plans with Production Planning and Manufacturing
  • Leads conferences between suppliers
  • Facilitates product changes by participating on new product development teams
  • Prepare requests for quotations (RFQs/RFPs), analyze supplier responses, and confirm purchase orders
  • Establishes and maintains strategic partnerships with suppliers
  • Maintains company databases and systems


The Senior Procurement Specialist should have the Following Qualifications:

  • Experience with new product development
  • Experience using ERP systems
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • APP, CPM, APICS, CPIM certifications are a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain
  • Comfortable with up to 10% travel
  • 4+ years of purchasing/procurement


This is a full time permanent position that will be on-site everyday in Northampton County.
