POSITION PURPOSE

The Senior Marketing Manager will have a passion for non-profit work, a strong understanding of effective marketing strategies, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. They have a significant role in increasing our organization’s brand awareness and drive its mission forward.

This is a strategic role that will be responsible for shaping and executing the marketing strategy. The Senior Marketing Manager will be involved in creating and delivering a wide variety of marketing campaigns to build BBBS Miami brand awareness and drive leads.


Key Relationships:

The Senior Marketing Manager reports directly to the Vice President, Development.

Core Responsibilities:

The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategic marketing plans in alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of our marketing and advertising channels, including digital marketing, print, social media.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with legal requirements and ethical standards.
  • Manage external relationships, consultants, and partnerships in marketing efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as email, social media, or digital campaigns, and events.
  • Ensure the brand message is consistent, timely, and relevant.
  • Collaborate with other internal teams (Programs, Development, Operations) to develop strategic initiatives and ensure alignment across the organization.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor members of the marketing team.
  • Work closely with leadership and stakeholders to identify new opportunities for new market campaigns.
  • Create a variety of content (webinars, videos, etc.)
  • Conduct market research and identify trends.
  • Manage marketing budget and report on the marketing spend to Senior Leadership.

Personal Qualities and Key Credentials:


  • Strong preference for those with experience in the non-profit sector, especially in mentoring or related field.
  • Approachable, kind, and compassionate
  • 4+ years in Marketing role, with at least 2 years in management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient using technology including all MS Office applications and marketing software.
  • Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns.
  • A flexible self-starter with strong administrative, organizational and leadership skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, Business Administration, or related field suggested but not required.
  • Ability to offer innovative approaches to long-standing policies and practices
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole is a plus, but not required.
  • An ability to establish positive staff and professional relationships.


Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to move about the inside of the office
  • Must be able to exchange accurate communication
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
  • Routine office environment with flexible work hours to meet the organization’s needs
  • Must be able to lift office equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to operate office productivity machinery (i.e. computer, copier, etc.)

Location:

This position is based in Miami, Florida, at BBBS of Miami’s headquarters at 550 NW 42nd Avenue Miami, FL 33126 with 5% of total work time traveling.

Compensation:

The Senior Marketing Manager is a full-time exempt position. This position is supervised by the VP, Development. The salary for this position is between $72,000 - $80,000 depending on experience. BBBS of Miami positions involve regular computer use plus some minimal lifting.
