SUMMARY
This role is primarily responsible for owning primary and secondary research projects that convert business questions into actionable insights through the unbiased voice of the Customer. This is accomplished through owning projects, from understanding business needs, designing a research plan, implementing, analyzing, to presentation of findings and recommended actions. This role requires a deep understanding of research methodology for packaged goods development in the industry. Top-level, polished communication is required to deliver insights across the organization to help drive the overall brand forward through strategic and forward-looking thinking.
REPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work efficiently and optimally in a high-energy environment.
- Gain intimate knowledge of the company’s business categories by developing key internal and external partner relationships.
- Travel domestically approximately 20% of the time.
- Own market research projects from beginning to end, including design, execution, analysis, writing, and presentation of data to all levels of the organization. Projects may include primary research (focus groups, in-store customer interviews, online surveys and qual/quant), which can take place at the Home Office, a facility, or in store, as well as secondary research. Primary research will require directly interviewing to customers and associates in the retail environment.
- Own relationships with external research vendors on ongoing research efforts; occasional review of other vendor offerings to keep the department on the top tier of research capabilities.
- Key responsibility of writing high-level and detailed reports.

Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including influence and leader engagement.
- Thorough attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple and opposing demands/projects
- 3+ years of experience in a retail market research/consumer insights role with proven research experience (both quantitative and qualitive), including product and concept testing.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Market Research, Business, Psychology, or other related disciple or equivalent experience
