About Women of Color Retail Alliance (WOCRA):

Position Overview:
This isn’t just another run-of-the-mill internship; this is a game-changing opportunity in the retail industry. The Research Data Analyst Intern will be instrumental in a project that aims to establish a roadmap for influencing the promotion imperatives for women of color in retail. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting research data, crafting comprehensive reports, creating a database, and issuing findings for both internal review and public dissemination.
Responsibilities:
- Present research findings to internal teams and, if applicable, at industry events or webinars.
- Analyze and interpret the collected data to identify trends, insights, and actionable recommendations to serve as a roadmap for economic enrichment and increased spending power for women of color in retail.
- Craft detailed reports summarizing findings, complete with actionable insights and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collect research data on various topics related to women of color in the retail industry, such as wage disparity, employment and retention, career advancement, consumer spending power, and representation.
- Collaborate with the communications team to prepare findings for public dissemination, including creating infographics, blog posts, or other media.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive database to store all collected third-party research data.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about WOC Retail Alliance's mission and vision and committed to promoting inclusion, equity, and promotion for women.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft 365 experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program (e.g., Business, Sociology, Data Science).
Compensation:
One-time stipend included. We also offer mentorship opportunities, networking events, and a flexible work schedule.
