Job Description
The Sr. Manager, Wireless Sales Strategy position is responsible for developing aspects of Cox's GTM strategy for Resi Sales Channels- specific to the strategic planning, launch planning and execution of Cox Mobile.

This role is a key contributor for creating an agile innovative and highly motivated sales force focused on continuous improvement of our sales teams primarily supporting wireless target attainment, sales data trending / analytics, revenue contribution data, ARPU (Average Revenue per Unit) management, and wireless line activation growth.

What You'll Do


  • Manage all programs to drive the Cox Mobile Strategy
  • Boundary partner support for Retail, COE, DSCC
  • Provides input and support for the overall sales channel plan for Cox Wireless Launch (throughout various phases, employee trial, soft launch, full market launch, and sustainment/growth post-launch)

  • Sales GTM support for all Cox Mobile product enhancements and device launches (NPI) and promotions - which requires cross-functional support to product, ICE, technology, marketing and devices team.

  • Provides input and support for the overall sales channel plan for Cox Wireless Launch (throughout various phases, employee trial, soft launch, full market launch, and sustainment/growth post-launch)
  • Accountable for Revenue and PSU achievement for emerging product sales channels in coordination with field teams
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing teams to define and implement appropriate competitive strategy
  • Develops metrics and corresponding analysis to drive the business forward; conducts analyses and translates results into business recommendations
  • Operationalize plan and drive deployment to reinvent sales experience and create a Cox Mobile sales culture; influence sales leadership to integrate wireless into existing sales channel strategy
  • Partners with Finance and Marketing teams to plan for sales opex associated with initiatives
  • Coordinates professional sales training to reflect changes in the services, product offerings, and market conditions
  • This role will work with each sales channel, including sales operations, reporting, sales performance, marketing and product teams to ensure smooth transitions and also the ability to meet all corresponding revenue plans.
  • Support / create sales strategy requirements across customer mobile touchpoints to ensure an interactive and seamless shopping experience that aligns with customer journey map and agent experience
  • Leading and translating Cox Mobile strategies (roadmaps, strategy updates, changes, etc)
  • Strategic translation to various levels of the organization (using PPT, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Recognized subject matter expert that represents Cox Mobile Sales to executive team, boundary partners, vendors, and industry; drives change and alignment in a matrixed environment
  • Provides direction and guidance to cross-functional field resources to ensure appropriate execution of channel strategy
  • Creates confidence in our ability to support and integrate new products into the sales channels
  • Market - identification of objectives and action programs to achieve overall business goals
  • Develops and administers components of sales plans and competitive strategies for the footprint's channel diversity strategy and efforts
  • Develops project plans, timelines, and identifies key milestones to ensure successful project completion

Who You Are

Minimum


  • Demonstrated track record of an achieving team plan/team quota
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field
  • Highly developed ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities in a fast-paced competitive market environment
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and analyze strategic issues
  • Strong leadership and coaching skill set
  • Data analysis and PC skills required; experience with MS Office products required.
  • Ability to create PPT slides and present in front of various levels of leadership teams
  • Demonstrate ability to influence decisions in areas outside of direct control through collaboration and teamwork.
  • Wireless experience preferred (recent and relevant) within the past 5-7 years
  • Strong negotiation skills and presentation ability


Preferred


  • 2+ years of experience leading teams
  • B.A./B.S. degree in business, finance and/or marketing or equivalent experience highly desired; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Prefer previous managerial experience in a sales discipline; or alternate distribution channel; call center experience is a plus, B2B background a plus.
