Job Description

M SEARCH has been retained by one of the fastest growing, eCommerce industry-leading organizations, to recruit a dynamic Senior Manager, HR Business Partner to join their growing HR team. The ideal candidate will be an influential HR leader who is looking for an opportunity to partner with a transformational team, to support the build-out of the HRBP team strategy in a hyper-growth environment. Responsibilities will include:


  • Make sound decisions in partnership with others that assist in mitigating risk to the organization.
  • Lead organization-wide HRBP briefings and training sessions, as a senior representative of the HRBP function.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders across the organization on the roll out and execution of performance management tools, ensuring training and adoption of any newly implemented tools.
  • Work closely with leaders on how to set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing and direct feedback.
  • Gain deep knowledge on the unique talent challenges of assigned team(s) and work with leaders and team members to address them. This will include career pathing/ job definition, retention strategies, learning and development solutions, and anything else having to do with retaining and engaging talent.
  • Identify and recommend new opportunities for the People team to add value to the business and be a driver of those recommendations - from ideation to inception.
  • Work closely with management and employees to coach and improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development team on the build out of organizational career pathing, working closely with the HRBPs to understand client group needs.
  • Lead talent and performance management efforts to enable a high-performance culture, guiding leaders through existing and to-be-created talent processes and programs.
  • Support the development and execution of strategic People plans in partnership with the business to ensure that their best talent is placed in the right positions.
  • Support cross geographical HRBP efforts with key business partners in other markets to align on the global HRBP strategy and regional impact, and to learn and support local initiatives as needed.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Director, HRBP in ideating on talent and engagement strategies that will maximize results for the business.
  • Operate as a trusted advisor and coach to the leadership team, building outstanding partnerships to create, execute and continuously improve upon the talent strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor around any talent issues their teams are facing, including: organizational design, role definition, career development, compensation, management & leadership coaching, change management, and in what ways to grow and scale.
  • Plan and lead organization design projects to streamline and implement new structures, roles and/or processes that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Partner closely with capabilities across the People team, ensuring you are aware of and communicate on organizational changes that could impact their work; be familiar with other People team programs and processes to have the right context to support the business well.
  • Assess career progression, promotional opportunities and employee development needs based on business strategy to help close gaps between current and future skill sets.
  • Take a data-driven approach to recommending impactful initiatives that provide measurable results and data to inform the business strategy. Analyze trends and metrics to identify high-impact initiatives and priorities for an improved employee experience, increased productivity and retention.
  • Guide business leaders on organizational policies and processes, including talent reviews, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous feedback, growth and development.
  • Understand the vision, strategies, and goals of the business and how this creates and aligns with the talent strategy to accelerate results.
  • Foster a culture of engagement and excitement to bring out customer-driven results where employees feel empowered to drive organizational performance, and develop their careers within the organization.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and leading with empathy, logic, data and credibility.


Requirements:


  • Deep knowledge of best practices from past employers, professional networks, and continuing education; strong preference for past experience with a best-in-class employer with strong, innovative HR practices
  • Solution-oriented with proven ability to diagnose problems using strategic thinking skills as well as identify and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership for outcomes while prioritizing and juggling multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to balance business partnering skills with employee advocacy.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability in managing time and tasks associated with fast-paced organization.
  • Strong adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
  • 8+ years leadership experience in Human Resources (HRBP &/or multiple HR disciplines).
  • Hyper-growth startup and DTC organization experience preferred.
  • Ability to gain respect and be a credible business partner, this includes (but not limited to) - acting with integrity, keeping commitments; being proactive; having a point of view, challenging assumptions, taking the initiative and being a trusted thought partner to build relationships, culture and deliver results.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change and adaptability, with a can-do attitude.
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Google docs, Google Drive, Airtable, and project management tools such as Asana.
  • Skilled in forming relationships with and working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, in a remote-first or remote-only environment that is multiple geography and multiple time zones.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; not required. SHRM certification is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills. You can identify opportunities, anticipate challenges and gaps, and contingency plan accordingly.
  • Demonstrated business professionalism, respect for confidentiality, and appropriate handling of sensitive information.
