PEOPLE BUSINESS PARTNER

Reporting to the Vice President, People, in Miami, the People, Business Partner supports and works in all areas of HR such as onboarding, performance management, diversity, inclusion, recruitment, health and safety, policy/procedure interpretation, employee communications, employee engagement, with a strong focus on employee relations. The ideal candidate can juggle numerous requests on a regular basis. They provide exceptional HR services and guidance to employees, managers and leaders. This individual will also embody and support a welcoming culture within each concept based on PLANTA's vision and values.


WHAT'S ON YOUR PLATE:

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Unemployment Claim administration
  • Partner with the Director, Talent Acquisition and HR coordinator on new job offers, system updates and coordinate the onboarding and offboarding programs (develop Exit Survey).
  • Coach and counsel leaders through a variety of topics including performance management, progressive discipline, terminations and other issues related to policy and employment law..
  • Deliver trainings and onboarding presentations as required
  • Manage compliance activities to include EEOC, ADA, ACA, WC and FMLA
  • Contribute to HR projects, change management initiatives and processes that drive the HR agenda and support the business’ goals and objectives.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Assist with Job Fairs and Orientation of new restaurant openings
  • Develop PLANTA Wellness and Perks program with US partners
  • Acts as the main contact for driving and leading HR initiatives across Northeast and Canadian locations with a focus on retention, engagement, culture and recognition.


INGREDIENTS YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:


  • Self-starter, with demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership skills and a track record of strong business results
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel up to 15%
  • Preference for individuals who have HR generalist/business partner roles
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience with broad generalist knowledge - Hospitality and multi-state/location experience required, specifically in New York and Canada
  • Fully understand and embody PLANTA’s can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you
